Maintenance and Services Unit

The Maintenance, Technical Workshops, Stores, and Equipment Unit is responsible for the following tasks:
• A: Maintaining and servicing all equipment, furniture, and electrical devices across all internal departments.
• B: Conducting regular inspections to identify faults in all service and health facilities within the internal departments.
• C: Performing routine maintenance on generators.
• D: Carrying out ironwork, carpentry, and other craft tasks within the designated workshops.
• E: Performing regular maintenance on cooling devices and refrigerators.
• F: Executing and preparing materials for engineering lists, such as doors, windows, and other items, to reduce purchase costs.
• G: Managing the movement of vehicles assigned to the internal departments and directing them to ensure the continuity of work.
• H: Following up on fuel supply transactions for generators with petroleum product suppliers and overseeing the supply process.
• I: Ensuring the internal departments receive adequate fuel (liquefied gas and kerosene) and monitoring its delivery to student housing complexes.
• J: Coordinating with the university’s engineering department regarding maintenance and renovation of internal department buildings, as well as leased buildings, and contributing to the development of engineering designs.
This unit also handles all matters related to the furniture, devices, and equipment of the internal departments by organizing and storing them in a systematic way, following correct storage methods to facilitate the entry and exit of stored materials. Regular, quarterly, or annual inventory checks are conducted, and proper records are maintained for the storage and distribution of items. These records are continuously monitored.
• K: Supervising the entry and exit of materials for the internal departments from and to the department’s stores.
• L: Supervising and following up on the distribution of materials received by the storage and issuance unit.
• M: Supervising and monitoring the furniture and consumable materials within the internal departments, including how these materials are withdrawn and deposited in designated storage areas, and tracking their deletion and disposal.
