University Counseling Week

In celebration of University Counseling Week, the Social Research Division of the Dormitory Department, in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the university, organized an educational seminar for dormitory supervisors on the dangers of drugs and ways to prevent them. The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Haneen Rashid Majeed on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

Conferences
• Participation in the 18th Scientific Conference (“By Our Unity, We Solve Our Problems”), organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs on December 25, 2017.
The paper titled “The Concept of Citizenship Among Students in the Dormitories of the University of Technology” was discussed and published in the tenth issue of the scientific journal Developmental Insights, issued by the Center for Development Studies and Training.

Courses
• Participation in the course “Behavioral and Cognitive Counseling Strategies for Workers in the Counseling Units at the University” at the University of Baghdad from December 17 to December 21, 2017, by members of the Educational Guidance Division.
• Participation in the specialized course “Mistakes in Arabic Language and Administrative Correspondence” from December 3 to December 7, 2017.
• Organizing a training program for dormitory supervisors and counselors by the Educational Guidance Division, which included:
A. A health lecture on the environment and health in cooperation with Dr. Elaf Qasim Shaheed from the university health center, covering topics such as HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, and the negative effects of mobile phone use on December 7, 2017.
B. An educational lecture on “Developing Professional Skills of Supervisors and Educational Counselors in Dealing with the Problems of Dormitory Students” on December 12, 2017.
